Special Protectors® Patella Tendon Support Strap This is a well made product that applies mild constant pressure on the patellar tendon. Within the strap it has a tubular buttress which applies pressure evenly across the patellar tendon. The strap is made of 3mm neoprene, helping to retain heat in the affected area and thereby promoting healing. For added comfort it also has a terry fabric lining to help maintain dryness and a comfortable fit. A simple yet effective method for treating symptomatic pain associated with a range of knee ailments associated with patellar tendinitis (Jumpers or Runners knee), including Osgood-Schlatter's disease and chondromalacia patella. The strap can also help to improve and correct patella tracking and by restricting the movement of the patella tendon reduce the likelihood of further damage occurring.
